DHAKA, Oct 11, 2022 (BSS) - Bangladesh and Kosovo have signed an agreement on 'Visa Waiver' for official and diplomatic passport holders.
The agreement was inked today after holding the first ever Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) between Bangladesh and Kosovo at the State Guest House Padma here, a press release said.
Foreign secretary Ambassador Masud Bin Momen and the Deputy Foreign Minister Kreshnik Ahmeti led the Bangladesh and Kosovo delegation respectively during the FOC, where the entire gamut of bilateral relations was discussed.
Kreshnik Ahmeti is paying a four-day official visit to Dhaka to attend the FOC and other engagements.
During the FOC, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Kosovo praised the Bangladesh Peacekeepers who participated in the United Nations Mission in Kosovo (UNIMIK) and a number of possible MOUs were discussed for further strengthening bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.
Earlier, on October 10, a discussion was organized at the Foreign Service Academy where Kreshnik Ahmeti presented the keynote "Kosovo: Development, State Building and Foreign Policy" and Secretary (West) of the foreign ministry Ambassador Shabbir Ahmad Chowdhury chaired the session.
