Panchagarh, Oct 21, 2022 (BSS) - Railways Minister Md Nurul Islam Sujon today said Awami League is working to change the fate of poor and distressed people throughout the country.
 
"The party is able to mitigate any kind of natural disaster . . . Awami League always stands by disaster-affected people with financial and other assistances," he said.
 
The Minister said these while handing over vans among 20 families, whose family members died in a boat capsize in the Karatoa river on September 25.
 
The vans were provided at Mohajonpara of the district town, marking the 59 birth anniversary of Sheikh Russel.
 
Bangladesh Awami League Samaj Kallan sub-committee provided the fund for these vans.

Boda Upazila Parishad chairman Faruk Alam Tobi, Municipality Mayor of Boda Ohahiduzzaman Suja, general secretary of district Awami League Anwar Sadat Samrat and other party leaders were present at the event.
