CHATTOGRAM, Nov 1, 2022 (BSS) - A month-long income tax service programme began in Chattogram through a colorful function to facilitate the taxpayers return submissions.

Tax Appeal Commissioner Safina Jahan inaugurated the programme this afternoon at the tax office of Zone 4 in the Agrabad CDA residential area in the city.

Iqbal Bahar, Commissioner of Chattogram Tax Zone-1,  Commissioner of Tax Zone-2 Samia Akhtar, Commissioner of Tax Zone-3 Md. Shahadat Hossain Shikder and Commissioner of Tax Zone-4 Sabina Yasmin, among others, addressed the inaugural function as guests.

The month-long programme provides e-TIN registration, acceptance of returns, acknowledgment of receipt, supply of return and challan form of 88 circles of 4 zones of Chattogram income tax department and gives income tax advice and information.

This programme will continue till November 30 and taxpayers will be able to file income tax returns in four tax areas of Chattogram.

Meanwhile, NBR has taken special initiatives to create tax awareness among the countrymen. Special posters on income tax and stickers with motivational slogans, colorful festoons and banners will be put up at various locations on the occasion.

New taxpayers can get new e-TIN registration and existing taxpayers re-registration subject to furnishing the necessary information at the e-TIN registration booth of the tax zone. Besides, taxpayers can pay income tax online through e-payment, the sources added.
