DHAKA, Nov 2, 2022 (BSS) - Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Additional Deputy Commissioner (Motijheel division) Enamul Haque Mithu today said that some miscreants of Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Jubo Dal attacked former Appellate Division Judge AHM Shamsuddin Chowdhury Manik in the city.

They attacked the car of Manik in city's Paltan area this afternoon, he said.

The miscreants from a rally of Jubo Dal vandalized his car, he said, adding: "I heard that his (Manik's) driver and gunman who were in the car were injured in the attack."

Justice Manik was going to Kawranbazar from Nayapaltan to attend a talk show on a private TV channel.

Law enforcers are trying to collect CCTV footages of the incident to take necessary action, the DMP personnel said.
