CHATTOGRAM, Nov 8, 2022 (BSS) - Jafrul Islam Chowdhury, former state minister for environment and forest, died of old-age complications at  a  hospital here today.

 
He was 74, hospital and family sources said .
 
Jafrul, who had long been suffering from kidney and other diseases, breathed his last at about 2.15pm at city’s Evercare Hospital.
 
He left behind his wife, two sons, two daughters and a host of relatives, political colleagues  and admirers to mourn his death.
 
Kamrul Islam Hossain, former mayor of Banskhali Municipality,  said his first Namaz-e-Janaza will be held at Jamiatul Falah Complex Mosque at 10am tomorrow.
 
His second namaz-e-janaza will be held at Banskhali  Pilot High School ground at 2 pm.
 
He will be buried tomorrow at the family graveyard after third namaz-e-janaza at Banskhali College ground at 3 pm.
