DHAKA, Nov 13, 2022 (BSS) - Anita Chowdhury, wife of Square Group founder late Samson H Chowdhury, died of old-age complications at Square Hospital here today.
 
She was 90.
 
Chowdhury breathed her last while undergoing treatment at the hospital around 1.30pm.

Popularly known as 'Square Mother', Anita is survived by her children Samuel S Chowdhury, the current chairman of Square Group, Ratna Patra, vice-chairman of Square Pharma, Tapan Chowdhury, managing director of Square Pharma and Anjan Chowdhury, managing director of Square Toiletries and a host of grandchildren and relatives to mourn her death.
 
Deputy Speaker Md Shamsul Huq Tuku today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Anita Chowdhury.

In a condolence message, Tuku prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
