JHALOKATI, Nov 16, 2022 (BSS) - Awami League (AL) Advisory Council Member and 14-party alliance spokesperson Amir Hossain Amu today said Tarique Rahman fled away the country giving a written bond (Muchleka) that he won't do politics anymore.
"All cases against Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman were filed by the so-called caretaker government in 2007. They have been sentenced in those cases. Awami League government did not file any case. If Awami League had filed a case, they (BNP) would have defined it as vindictive," he said.
The AL leader said these as the chief guest at a prize distribution ceremony of the two-day Digital Innovation Fair at Sheikh Russel Mini Stadium) in Jhalokati.
With Jhalokati Deputy Commissioner Md Zohar Ali in the chair, the function was, addressed, among others, by Superintendent of Police Md Afruzul Haque Tutul, District Awami League President Sardar Md Shah Alam, District Awami League General Secretary and District Council Chairman Advocate Khan Saifullah Panir and District Awami League Vice-President and Upazila Parishad Chairman Khan Arifur Rahman.
