DHAKA, Nov 17, 2022 (BSS)-Bangladesh and Scotland have agreed to foster cooperation in the renewable energy sector especially in offshore wind power.
This was revealed during a bilateral meeting between Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr. A K Abdul Momen and Scottish Minister for Environment and Land Reform Mairi McAllan held on the sidelines of COP27 in Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt on Wednesday, a foreign ministry press release said here today.

McAllan underscored Scotland’s support for ‘loss and damage’ due to adverse affects of climate change while Bangladesh Foreign Minister stressed the critical importance of the issue for climate vulnerable countries.
Dr. Momen also thanked the Scottish government for hosting COP26 in Glasgow in November 2021.
