CHAPAINAWABGANJ, November 19, 2022 (BSS): Election Commissioner Ahsan Habib Khan said, "I think the field is level and prepared and the players should come and play on the ground."
He said this about the level playing field for all political parties to take part in the upcoming national elections while visiting a registration centre for the new voters at a high school in ward No-15 under Chapainawabganj municipality today.
Local Deputy Commissioner AKM Galiv Khan, Superintendent of Police AHM Abdur Rokib, District Election Officer Md. Motawakkil Rahman and other officials were with him during the visit.
The EC said, I have experienced the strong passion for being the voters among the people here so that they themselves can use their voting power.
As he was asked by the newsmen whether he is hopeful about the participation of all political parties, he said that the EC has no lake of cordiality.
"We called all political parties for discussion and exchanging views. Some of them came and others did not come. Yet our door is open for all. If any party comes, we must discuss with them," the EC added.
In response to a question whether Close Circuit (CC) cameras would be used in all the centres of the 300 constituencies in the next parliamentary election, he asked the newsmen whether it is possible or not to take instant decision by observing all the 3.5 to 4 lakh cameras.
According to the Chapainawabganj District Election Office, information was collected from August 30, 2022 till September 20, 2022 and registration started on October 1 last and will continue till November 20.
