DHAKA, Dec 06, 2022 (BSS) - Dr Omar Ishrak, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the US technology giant Intel, today paid a courtesy call on Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh at latter's office here.
 
During the meeting, they exchanged mutual experiences in civil services and the excellence of technology. 
 
Dr Omar Ishrak, a Bangladeshi American, praised various development works being implemented by the DSCC to make Dhaka a more livable and modern city. 

Besides, Omar Ishrak recalled his childhood days that he spent in the capital's Dhanmondi area. 
 
Dr Omar Ishrak's wife and daughter, among others, were also present at the meeting. He was elected to Intel's board of directors in March, 2017, and named its chairman in January 2020.
