RANGPUR, Jan 11, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Vice-
chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu has said an anti-independence political party is
lying in the name of BNP.

"Those who do not believe in the country's independence are lying in the name
of BNP," he said while speaking as the chief guest at the divisional workers'
rally of Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Ulama Dal at Shilpokola Academy auditorium
here on Saturday afternoon.

Dudu said that the political party gets respectable votes if it is in an
alliance and gets a handful of votes if it is alone.

"The leaders and committees of that party have only voice power, they don't
have many votes. They attract people with melodious speeches. But BNP
realizes the rights of the people, works for the country," he said.

He said, "The autocratic Awami League regime had insulted the country's Ulama
Kerams, damaged their reputation and taken them to jail without any crime.
For this, everyone should come together and take the BNP forward with a
strong role."

The BNP Vice-chairman called on the Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Ulama Dal leaders
and workers to work unitedly and tell the leaders and activists that they
will have to work for the one who will get the symbol 'Paddy sheaf' in the
next election.
