DHAKA, Jan 20, 2025 (BSS)- Acting Chairman of BNP Tarique Rahman today called upon the leaders and workers of the party to get organized for building future Bangladesh.
He made the call while virtually addressing BNP’s membership renewal programme virtually from London.
Tarique Rahman renewed his membership with Taka 20 (15 pence).
Senior party leaders- Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Standing Committee members Nazrul Islam Khan, Salahuddin Ahmed, Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed and Treasurer M Rashiduzzaman Millat also renewed their membership on the occasion at party chairperson's Gulshan office.
BNP Publicity Secretary Sultan Salahuddin Tuku conducted the programme while BNP Vice-Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu, Chairperson's Adviser Abdus Salam, Joint Secretaries General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie, Syed Emran Saleh Prince and Abdus Salam Azad, Information and Research Secretary Z Riazuddin Khan Nosu, among others, were present.
"Today is a happy day for BNP leaders and workers,” Tarique Rahman said urging the party leaders to make the programme a success.
He urged the BNP leaders to unite the party men at grassroots level all over the country.
“Now we have to work more as a huge task is ahead of us. Let's show the enthusiasm and patriotism which we didn’t give up even under the threat enforced disappearances, killing, torture and imprisonment in false cases,” he said.
BNP acting chairman said the party outlined a 31-point reform agenda for repairing the state structure.
“To implement it, the party leaders and activists will have to be united and organized,” he said adding that talented people including youth folk must be included and bring to the forefront to make the party vibrant.
In his speech, Mirza Fakhrul underscored the need for practicing intellectual politics to repair the state.
