Dudu calls for taking BNP to a new height following Saheed Zia’s ideals

GAIBANDHA, JAN 28, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Vice Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu today urged all party leaders and activists to work together to take BNP to a new height being imbued with the ideals of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman.

"The party men should sincerely work together aiming to take BNP to a new height being imbued with the ideals of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia and BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman," he said in a party meeting at the auditorium of Shah Abdul Hamid Stadium  here as the chief guest.

Highlighting the struggles of BNP men in the country, he said thousands of BNP activists have been accused in cases and made victims of murder, disappearance and torture by fascist Awami League (AL)-led government in last 15 years.

Huge people including students have sacrificed their lives during the July-August Uprising, he added.

He hoped that leaders and activists of the party will make BNP stronger for the betterment of the people of the country with their humanitarian and development works.

BNP District Unit President Professor Dr Mainul Hasan Sadik presided over the meeting while Rangpur Divisional Secretary of BNP Principal Asadul Habib Dulu, Gram Sarker Affairs Secretary Anisuzzaman Khan Babu, Rangpur Divisional Assistant Organizing Secretaries of BNP Abdul Khaleque and Professor Aminul Islam, Vice Presidents of District BNP Shahiduzzaman Shahid and Faruk Ahmed also spoke on the occasion.

General Secretary of District Unit of BNP Mahmudunnabi Titul moderated the meeting.

The speakers said that the government should announce an election roadmap at the earliest time for the betterment of the country and its people.

Almost 300 activists of BNP and its front organizations   from seven upazilas of the district attended the meeting.
