DHAKA, Feb 02, 2025 (BSS) – Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has announced convening committees for eight districts.

The districts are Meherpur, Natore, Bandarban, Chittagong South, Manikganj, Munshiganj, Narayanganj and Gazipur.

The convening committees were announced in a press release, signed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed here this afternoon.

A 30-member convening committee has been formed for Meherpur with Javed Masud Milton as the convener and Advocate Kamrul Hasan as the member secretary.  Md Amirul Islam, Jahangir Biswas, Professor Foyez Mohammad have been made joint conveners.

Besides, the other committee members are:  Masud Arun, Amjad Hossain, Md Ilias Hossain, Md Alamgir Khan Chhatu, Md Ansarul Haque, Mohammad Abdullah, Md Hafizur Rahman, Md Rezaul Haque, Maruf Ahmed Bijon, Md Zakir Hossain, Md Abdul Hamid, Md Khairul Bashar, Md Omar Faruk Liton, Mir Faruk Hossain, Md Abdul Awal, Md Insarul Haque, Md Alfaz Uddin Kalu, Mosammat Romana Ahmed, Md Abdur Rashid, Md Saiful Islam, Md Asaduzzaman Bablu, Md Mokbul Hossain Meghla, Md Akheruzzaman, Abu Saleh Mohammad Nasim and Md Mashiur Rahman.

A 16-member convening committee has been constituted for Natore with Rahim Newaz as the convener and Asaduzzaman Asad as the member secretary. Abdul Aziz, Zillur Rahman Chowdhury Babul, Mizanur Rahman Duke, Mostafizur Rahman Shaheen, Saiful Islam Aftab and Daudar Mahmud have been made joint conveners.

Other members of the committee are Shahidul Islam Raju, Sabina Yasmin, Abul Kashem, Tariqul Titu, Barrister Abu Hena Mostafa, Sufia Haque and Shree Ranjit Kumar Sarker. 

A five-member BNP’s Bandarban district unit committee was formed with Swachin Pru Jerry as convener and Javed Reza as member secretary. 

Professor Usman Gani has been made as senior joint convener, Mujibur Rashid as joint convener and Mamaching as committee member.

BNP committee for its Chittagong south unit has been formed with Idris Mia and Ali Abbas as convener and senior joint convener, Liaquat Hossain as joint convener, Mishkatul Islam Chowdhury Pappa and Lion Helal Uddin as member secretaries.

For Manikganj district, a partial convening committee has been formed with Afroza Khan Rita as convener. Six other committee members are SA Zinnah Kabir, Adv. Azad Hossain Khan, Ataur Rahman Ata, Advocate AFM Nurtaz Alam Bahar, Satyen Kant Pandit Bhajan and Golam Abedin Kaiser.

Munshiganj district BNP convening committee was formed with Mizanur Rahman Sinha as convener and Mohiuddin Ahmed as member secretary.

Other committee members are Mohammad Abdullah, Shahidul Islam Mridha, Abdul Baten Shamim, Syed Siddiq Ullah Farid and Amirul Hossain Dolon.

In Narayanganj district, the new BNP committee has been formed with Md Mamun Mahmud as the convener. In the committee, Mustafizur Rahman Dipu Bhuiyan has been made the first joint convener, Mashekul Islam Rajib the joint convener and two other committee members are Sharif Ahmed Tutul and Md Gias Uddin.

A three-member committee for Gazipur district BNP has been formed with Fazlul Haque Milan as the convener while Shah Riazul Hannan as first joint convener and Chowdhury Ishrak Ahmed Siddiqui as joint convener.
