SAVAR, Feb 06, 2025 (BSS)- Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), the student wing of BNP, of Jahangirnagar University (JU) unit today observed the March for Justice programme at the university campus. 

To mark the programme, over two hundred leaders and activists of JCD  of the university unit brought out a procession from the transport area of the university at 4pm.

Convener of the JCD JU unit convening committee Jahir Uddin Babor and member secretary Wasim Ahmed Anik led the procession. 

After parading different streets in the campus the procession ended in front of the new administrative building of the university following a short rally. 

Later, they submitted a memorandum to JU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Kamrul Ahsan demanding the implementation of 2-point demands. 

The demands included to ensure prosecution of all terrorist activities organized by Chhatra League during Fascist Hasina regime and punishment of all Pro-Awami League persons of the university involved in attacks on students at July uprising movement.

Addressing the rally, JU JCD convener Jahir Uddin Babor said, "JU Chhatra Dal has consistently been vocal in demanding justice for the Chhatra League. Although we have repeatedly demanded justice to the university administration, we notice that the university administration has not taken any visible action. We think that the justice of the BCL should be confirmed before announcing the schedule of JUCSU elections."

Member secretary Wasim Ahmed Anik said, "We have organized today's "March for Justice" as part of the Central Chhatra Dal announced programme. We are vocal in demanding justice for the terrorist activities of the Chhatra League. By submitting the memorandum, we once again demanded of the university administration to ensure justice for those involved in the attack on students during the July uprising movement."
