DHAKA, Feb 18, 2025 (BSS) - Police have arrested a Shramik League leader from the city's Bailey Road area in multiple cases linked to the attack on protesters during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.

The arrestee has been identified as Harisur Rahman Sohan, joint general secretary of Dhaka South City Sramik League.

A squad of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) Unit of the DMP apprehended Sohan from the city's Bailey Road area around 2:05 am today, said a press release.

He was accused in three separate cases filed in connection with the attack on protesters during the July uprising.

He was handed over to Khilgaon Police Station.
