DHAKA, Feb 18, 2025 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a top drug peddler along with his four gang members from the city’s Adabar area in the early hours of today.  

The arrested are top drug dealer Niaz alias Md. Swapan Kazi alias CD Swapan (40), son of late Hashem Kazi, under Srinagar Thana in Munshiganj district, Md. Zubayer Islam (31), son of Md. Tajul Islam under Mirpur Model Thana in Dhaka, Md. Faruk (42), son of Soleman,
under Bhanga Thana in Faridpur, Md. Masum Mia (34), son of late Riaz under Mohammadpur Thana in Dhaka, Md. Anwar Hossain (37), son of late Abul Kalam under Alfadanga Thana in Faridpur.

A squad of RAB -2 in a raid at Navodaya Housing area under Adabar Police Station arrested the five early today and seized 101 pieces of Yaba tablets, Tk 1,18,806 in cash, foreign currencies and drug consumption equipment from their possessions, said a press release.

The arrested have been wanted in multiple cases filed under Narcotics Control Act.
