JHENAIDAH, Feb 19, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today placed Salahuddin Miyaji, former military secretary to ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Member of Parliament (MP) for Jhenaidah-3 constituency, on a two-day remand in a case filed with Jhenaidah Sadar Police Station. 

Judge Faruk Azam of Jhenaidah Senior Judicial Magistrate Court passed the order as police produced him before the court seeking remand.

Police arrested him from Rudrapur of Jashore district on Tuesday night.
Earlier, students and local residents confined Salahuddin Miyaji for six and a half hours and handed him over to the law enforcers. 

After the arrest, he was taken to Jashore Detective Branch (DB) office.
