DHAKA, Feb 23, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh National Awami Party (Bangladesh NAP) Secretary General M Golam Mostafa Bhuiyan today said the Pilkhana BDR massacre was a part of the anti-Bangladesh conspiracy.

He said this while addressing a rally organised by International Movement Committee in front of Jatiya Press Club in the memory of those killed in the BDR mutiny.

Demanding examplary punishment of those who were involved in BDR massacar, Mostafa said February 25 will be marked as a black day in the history of Bangladesh. “The conspirators committed the crimes to destroy the patriotic army. It is very regretful that the imperialist and hegemonic forces committed these murders through the fascist government to weaken the defense system.”

He said it was not a rebellion, it was a planned murder and it is clear like broad daylight.

“We have lost heroic sons of the nation in the Pilkhana massacre. Many of the masterminds of the murder are still at large. They fled the country after the fall of the government,” he said.

Mostafa demanded the arrest of the masterminds and bring them to justice.

BNP joint secretary general Advocate Abdus Salam Azad, Bangladesh’s coordinator of Movement of Palestine Harun Or Rashid Khan, Somajtanthrik Majdur Party General Secretary Shamsul Alam, Nagorik Parishad convener Mohammad Shamsuddin, Bangladesh Justice Party chairman Abul Kashem Majumder and Bangladesh Nagorik Parishad president Abdul Ahad Nur, among others, spoke in the rally with Islami Oikkyo Jote vice chairman freedom fighter Maulana Showkat Amin in the chair.
