DHAKA, Feb 23, 2025 (BSS) - The joint forces led by the Bangladesh Army, in separate drives, arrested 131 alleged criminals from different parts of the capital.

Based on secret information, the forces conducted raids in the Mirpur, Kafrul, Gabtali, Hazaribag, Kamrangirchar, Chawkbazar, Mohammadpur, Tejgaon, and Uttara areas from February 15 to February 22 and arrested them, according to a press release of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) issued today. 

Most of the detainees are the accused in various charges, including possessing illegal weapons, drugs, and occupying land illegally, said the press release.
     
Different types of home-made weapons used for terrorist activities and illegal narcotics were recovered from their possessions.
