DHAKA, Feb 24, 2025 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has 
arrested eight individuals, including teen-gang leader, from 
capital’s Mohammadpur and Hemayetpur of Savar.

The arrestees were - Md. Babu Khan alias Tunda Babu, 31, one 
of the main associates of the “Kobjikata Group” of Mohammadpur 
in the capital and a teen-gang leader, Md. Rafiqul Islam Rana 
alias Rifat, 27, one of the main associates of Kobjikata 
Anwar, and six Kobjikata Group members including Shakib 
Mridha, 22, Md. Riaz Sardar, 21, Md. Shakil, 25, Md. Monirul 
Hasan alias Guti Hasan, 25, Md. Sumon Haque, 24 and Md. Lamim, 
20, said a media release of RAB today.

A team of RAB-2 in separate operations on Sunday night 
arrested them from Hemayetpur under Savar police station in 
Dhaka district and Dhaka Udyan area of Mohammadpur along with 
Yaba, a large number of homemade weapons, cash, 13 smart 
phones and four button mobile phones. 

Legal action is being taken against them.
