DHAKA, Feb 26, 2025 (BSS) - Detective Branch (DB) of Police has arrested a
drug peddler along with 2,000 pieces of Yaba tablets worth about Taka six
lakh from the capital's Jatrabari area.

The arrested was identified as Sheikh Mohiuddin Azam alias Azam, 28.

A team of the DB Gulshan Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) today
conducted a raid in the capital's Shanir Akhra area under Jatrabari thana and
arrested the drug peddler Azam at 08:00 in the morning, said a DMP media
release.

During the initial quizzing, Azam admitted his involvement in drug dealing,
the release added.

The process of taking legal action in this regard is underway.
