CHATTOGRAM, Feb 28, 2025 (BSS) – Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration Dr Md Mokhles ur Rahman inaugurated the renovation work of the office of ‘Nabajug Tebhaga Khamar Bahumukhi Somobay Samity Limited’ at Jobra village under No.11 Fatehpur union in Hathazari upazila of the district today

According to United Nations Foundation's website, Chief Adviser and winner of the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize Professor Muhammad Yunus received the President’s Award for Tebhaga Khamar, a system of cooperative three-share farming, in 1978.

The Bangladesh government adopted the Tebhaga Khamar as the Packaged Input Program in 1977, mentioned in the website.

Deputy Commissioner Farida Khanam, Upazila Nirbhahi Officer (UNO) ABM Mashiuzzaman, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Lutfun Nahar Sharmin were present on the occasion.

The senior secretary also inaugurated the new building of Jobra Khamar Government Primary School which is being implemented by the Directorate of Primary Education.
