DHAKA, March 3, 2025 (BSS) - Police have arrested 19 individuals in special drive on charges of various crimes in different parts of the capital's Mohammadpur. 

The arrestees were identified as Sajib (26), Al Amin (24), Sajib (28), Hira (19), Shanto (22), Raihan (21), Mehedi Hasan (22), Russell (21), Rana (24), Hossain (19), Rabbi (19), Siam (20), Sujan (28), Farhan (20), Fazle Rabbi (20), Emon (19), Al Amin (19), Sabbir (19) and Shabnur (27), said a media release of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) today.

It said Mohammadpur Police Station conducted special raid and rounded up them as specific allegations including drug peddling, kidnapping, robbing, extortion, fugitive accused and other crime cases filed against them. 

Homemade weapons and narcotics were recovered from their possession.

The arrestees have been produced before the court.
