DHAKA, Mar 04, 2025 (BSS) – The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case against former Vice Chancellor (VC) of Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) and three others on charges of corruption.

The accused are former VC Professor Dr Md Abdus Sattar, Assistant Professor of Microbiology Department Dr Md Iqbal Kabir Zahid, former Professor of Microbiology Department Dr Md Anwar Hossain and Professor of Botany of Rajshahi University Ferdousi Begum.

ACC Director General (Prevention) Md Akhter Hossain at a briefing today said the ACC's Deputy Assistant Director Jalal Uddin filed the case.

The case was filed under Sections 409/420/109 of the Penal Code and Section 5(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1947, the director general said.
