DHAKA, March 6, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today imposed a travel ban on former officer-in-charge (OC) of Jatrabari Police Station Mazharul Islam and his wife Naila Khan over graft allegations.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order, accepting a plea of the assistant director of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Bishan Ghosh, ACC deputy director and public relations officer Akhtarul Islam confirmed.

ACC in its plea said the commission is probing allegations of amassing illegal wealth against Mazharul and in the primary investigation it was learned that a huge illegal wealth were amassed in the name of his wife Laila Khan.

"Travel ban should be imposed to deter them from fleeing the country," the ACC plea said.
