DHAKA, March 6, 2025 (BSS) - Amir of Islamic Andolan Bangladesh (IAB) Mufti Syed Mohammad Rezaul Karim, Charmonai Pir, has urged all to take lessons from the holy month of Ramadan by attaining Taqwa (fear of Allah) which would help build a corruption-free Bangladesh.
“Unrest is prevailing everywhere in the state. People are killing each other. It is possible to build a corruption-free country if they can achieve fear of Allah (Taqwa) in all aspects,” he said while addressing a special religious training (Talim and Torbiat) at Charmonai Madrasa Maidan in Barishal today.
The Charmonai Pir said, “The country’s wealth is being plundered because people do not have the fear of Allah. A person who has the fear of Allah in his heart can never siphon off the wealth of the state. Besides, he cannot get involved in any kind of criminal acts.”
The IAB Amir categorically said it is possible to eliminate corruption from the state if an Allah-fearing ruler is given the power to run the state.
Mufti Rezaul Karim was very critical about the section of people who stood against wearing hijab, smoking in public during Ramadan. He termed these as a deep-rooted conspiracy against Islam and Muslims.
Referring to the ‘fascist Hasina regime’, IAB chief said Islamophobic people threatened to make students fail by forcing them to remove their hijab/niqab, harassing girls in the classroom in front of hundreds of students because of their headscarves, and throwing veiled candidates out of the viva board using abusive words.
“The so-called women vocalists were not seen protesting in numerous incidents then,” he added.
IAB Nayeb-e-Amir Mufti Syed Faizul Karim, Shaikh-e Charmonai, madrasa teachers and Charmonai UP Chairman Mufti Ziaul Karim participated in the discussion.
