DHAKA, March 8, 2025 (BSS) - Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested four more active members of the banned organization Hizb ut Tahrir in the capital.

The arrestees were identified as Md. Helal Uddin, 45, Asaduzzaman Noor, 18, Tanim Sikder Sihab, 18 and Ahmed Nasif Karim alias Kabyo, 18, said a media release of DMP.

Multiple teams of CTTC conducted the raids in Mohammadpur, Adabor and Uttarkhan areas and arrested them on Friday, police said.

All the arrested individuals admitted that they are active members of the banned organization Hizb ut Tahrir and it was supported by the evidences recovered from them.

Filing of cases against them under the Prevention of Terrorism Act-2009 (Amendment-2013) is underway, police said.
