DHAKA, Mar 08, 2025 (BSS)- Jamaat-e-Islami today hosted an Iftar party in honour of foreign diplomats at a city hotel here this evening.

Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Dr. Shafiqur Rahman on behalf the party hosted the Iftar party, said a press release of the party.

Ambassadors, High Commissioners and representatives of different countries in Dhaka attended the Iftar party.

Envoys of USA, UK, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Indonesia, Turkey, UAE, Russia, Germany, Japan, Iran, India and Canada, Morocco, Netherlands, Switzerland, Norway, Bhutan, Singapore, Brunei, Denmark, Malaysia, Iraq, Vatican City, Brazil, Algeria, Kosovo, UN Human Rights Representative, Resident Representative of IRI and NDP joined the programme.

Jamaat-e-Islami Nayeb-e-Ameer Dr. Syed Abdullah Md Taher and Maulana Anam Shamsul Islam, Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar, Assistant Secretary General Maulana ATM Masum, Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan, Hamidur Rahman Azad, President of Islami Chhatra Shibir Zahidul Islam and Secretary General Nurul Islam Saddam, were present.

Before the Iftar, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman thanked the diplomats for joining the Iftar. He said Jamaat-e-Islami prefers reform plan of the Interim Governme so that Bangladesh never loses its way.
“We believe that a fair political system is essential for sustainable peace and development,” he added.
