RAJSHAHI, March 10, 2025 (BSS)- A total of 2,36,997 people have registered
their names as new voters showing a 1.5 percent rise in all eight districts
under Rajshahi division this year.

Talking to BSS here on Sunday, Delwar Hossain, regional election officer,
said total voters have stood to 1,59,85,790 with the new ones after updating
the voter list in the division and they are eligible to exercise their rights
of franchise in the next local and national polls.
 
As per the updated voter list, there are 22,70,996 voters including 11,35,767
female and 21 third gender in Rajshahi district and the city at present. Of
them, 35,261 new voters including 15,965 female were added to the list.

At present, there are 8,03,311 voters including 4,02,039 female in Joypurhat
district after adding 11,300 new ones, including 6,446 female.

After updating the voter list, the total number of voters stood at 29,16,356
including 14,58,569 female and 29 third gender in Bogura district. Of them,
41,062 new voters, including 15,825 female were added to the list.

The total voters reached at 22,79,785 including 11,37,565 female and 12 third
gender in Naogaon district after adding 29,512 new voters, including 11,948
female.

In Chapainawabganj district, the total number of voters reached at 13,79,107
including 7,05,055 male and a third gender after adding 22,231 new ones,
including 8,391 female.

In addition to 21,658 new voters including 8,810 female and one third gender
in Natore district, the total voters stood at 15,21,247 including 7,55,735
female and 12 third gender.

In Sirajganj, 40,837 new voters including 15, 812 female and one third gender
were added to the list totaling 25,92,864 including 12,73,499 female and 15
third gender.
 
In addition to 35,136 new voters, including 12,079 female and one third
gender in Pabna district totaling 22,12,124 voters, including 10,81,237
female and 15 third gender.

Delwar Hossain said preparation for holding the national and local body
elections will start after publishing the final voter list.
