DHAKA, March 12, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today showed Salman F Rahman, 
former private industry affairs adviser to the ousted Prime Minister Sheikh 
Hasina, and former Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Atiqul Islam 
arrested in a murder case lodged with the city's Bhatara Police Station.

The court also showed former senior secretary of Ministry of Civil Aviation 
and Tourism Md Mohibul Haque in an attempted murder case filed with the 
Tejgaon Police Station. 

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Awlad Hossain Muhammad Zunaid passed the orders 
as police produced the three before the court and pleaded to show them 
arrested in the cases.

Salman Fazlur Rahman was arrested from the capital's Sadarghat area as he was 
trying to flee the capital along with former law minister Anisul Huq through 
the waterways on August 13, 2024. 

Atiqul was arrested from the city's Mohakhali DOHS area on October 16 while 
Mohibul was arrested from the same area on November 20 last year.
