DHAKA, March 12, 2025 (BSS) - A couple arrested over the killing of former 
vice-principal of the capital's Habibullah Bahar College Mohammad Saifur 
Rahman Bhuiyan, has given confessional statements before two separate courts 
today.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mahbub Alam recorded confessional statement of 
Nazim Hossain and Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ishrat Jerifar Jerin recorded 
the statement of Nazim's wife Rupa Begum alias Jannati.

Police on March 11 arrested Nazim and Rupa from Faridpur railway station 
area.

Saifur Rahman Bhuiyan was hacked to death in the fourth-floor flat of a 
building in Puranpara Batan area under Uttarkhan Police Station on March 10. 
His younger brother later filed the case with Uttarkhan Police Station.
