DHAKA, March 13, 2025 (BSS) - Joint forces have arrested 13 persons in the capital's Kamrangirchar area and recovered 30 rounds of pistol bullets, four cocktails and a bunch of homemade weapons from their possessions.

The arrestees were identified as Md. Yunus Sardar, 40, Md. Ala Amin, 32, Md. Akter Hossain, 34, Kabir Sheikh, 43, Babul alias Babu, 30, Babu, 25, Md. Alam, 25, Md. Sajal, 30, Md. Masud, 25, Moksedul Shamim Shanto alias Kazim Shanto, 28, Md. Zahirullah Ripon, 56, Md. Billal Hasan alias Kallu, 30 and Md. Masud Mia, 20, said a media release issued by Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) today.

The joint forces conducted the drives in the Kamrangirchar area and rounded up the persons on Tuesday and Wednesday.

However, DMP's Bomb Disposal Team disposed the recovered cocktails.

A case was filed against the arrested individuals with Kamrangirchar Police Station, said the press release, adding that they were produced before the court.
