DHAKA, March 13, 2025 (BSS) – Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Bangladesh Alexander G Khozin today paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Dr Shafiqur Rahman at Jamaat's central office here.

They discussed the overall situation prevailing in Bangladesh, bilateral relations and investment between Bangladesh and Russia and international relations, including issues of mutual interest, said Jamaat-e-Islami Nayebe Ameer Dr Syed Abdullah Md Taher to the media after the meeting.

He said that Russian envoy Khozin assured Jamaat-e-Islami that Russia will continue to support Bangladesh in the future. 

Both Khozin and Shafiqur expressed optimism that Russian investment in Bangladesh will increase further in the future, he added.

Counsellor of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Bangladesh Anton Chernov, Jamaat-e-Islami's Nayeb-e-Ameer Professor Mujibur Rahman and its Secretary General Professor Mia Golam Parwar were present, among others, in the meeting.
