RANGPUR, March 18, 2025 (BSS) - Police have arrested former minister Shajahan Khan’s cousin Paverul Rahman Shafiq Khan from Rangpur city.
 
“Police arrested him from one of his relative's houses in the Nurpur area of Rangpur city today,” Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rangpur Metropolitan Kotwali police station Md Ataur Rahman told BSS.
 
“Awami League leader Paverul Rahman Shafiq Khan is accused in several cases filed with Madaripur Sadar police station during the student-led mass uprising,” the OC said.
 
“We produced Shafiq to a local court from where he was sent to jail. Other legal matters in this regard are underway,” he added.
