DHAKA, April 4, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central executive committee
member and its Dhaka North City unit Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin said the country and the nation will forever remember the heroic deeds of the anti-discrimination student
movement's Mirpur unit assistant spokesperson Tanifa Ahmed with respect.
Selim recalled the contribution of Tanifa, who died along with couple of others in a horrific
road accident on Dhaka-Chattogram Highway's Chunti Jangalia area on Wednesday (April 2), as he along with others leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami went to her home and the home of her uncle last night.
They prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Mohammad Selim Uddin at the time enquired about the wellbeing of the other members of
the family, who are still undergoing treatment in Chattogram hospital and talked to
Chattogram city ameer of his party about this.
A total of 10 people, including six from the same family died in the accident that took place
at around 7am of April 2.
Jamaat leaders Col (retd) Abdul Baten, Nasir Uddin, Ashraful Alam, Hasanul Banna Chapal,Engineer Mizanur Rahman and Nasir Uddin Sazal were present at the time, among others.
