Parwar requests govt to declare polls roadmap after necessary reform

CHATTOGRAM, April 11, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat Islami secretary general Prof. Mia Golam Parwar has requested the interim government to announce election roadmap after completion of necessary reform for the greater welfare of the country and the nation.

He made the request while speaking as chief guest at a day-long Shikkha Shibir (Training programme) of Rokans at Institution of Engineers, Chattogram Centre organized by the party’s city unit today.
 
Mia Parwar said the government should declare the date and a complete election roadmap immediately after carrying out necessary reforms as per the people’s aspiration.

“Take time to do necessary reform as per people’s expectation without unjustified delay”, the Jamaat secretary general said, adding that ousted fascist forces have been spreading rumour and panic against the country by using the money they laundered from the country.

Conspiracy is being hatched in international arena against the country, he added.  

Prof. Parwar strongly condemned the Israel for resorting to barbaric attacks and committing genocide in Palestine, especially by killing children and women.
 
“By committing such genocide, Israel has already been identified as terrorist country across the globe and world humanity should come forward unitedly to stop the brutality against humanity,” said the Jamaat leader.

City unit Ameer and former lawmaker Alhaj Shah Jahan Chowdhury presided over the function while unit general secretary Principal Nurul Amin moderated it.
 
Jamaat’s assistant secretary general Moulana Abu Taher Md Masum, former lawmaker Dr. A H M Hamidur Rahman Azad, Moulana Md Shah Jahan former principal of Baitu Sharaf Madrasha Prof Dr. Sayed Abu Noman, among others, spoke at the function.
