CHATTOGRAM, April 13, 2025 (BSS) - A Chattogram court today placed top terror Chhoto Sajjad on a seven-day remand over a double murder case filed with city's Baklia police station.
Metropolitan Magistrate Ibrahim Khalil issued the remand order as police produced him before the court and pleaded for 10-day remand.
He also said that Sajjad has been arrested in connection with a total of eight cases, including five with Chandgaon Police Station, one with Bayezid Bostami Police Station, and two with Hathazari Police Station for murder and extortion.
Two people were shot dead in the early hours of March 31 in the city's Bakalia excess road under Chawkbazar thana.
The deceased were Bakhteyar Hossain Manik and Md Abdullah.
Three days later, Bakhteyar's mother Firoza Begum filed a case with the city's Bakalia Police Station over the incident, naming seven people as suspects.
Police arrested Belal and Manik from the city's Chandgaon Khaja Road and Fatikchhari's Kanchannagar on April 4.
