DHAKA, April 21, 2025 (BSS) - Students of Agricultural Training Institutes (ATIs) have withdrawn their ongoing protests after a meeting with Agriculture Adviser Lieutenant General (retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury today at the ministry.
The advisor urged the students to return to their classrooms and assured them of prompt action on their eight-point demand, said a ministry press release.
During the meeting, student representatives raised their demands to the advisor, the press release said adding the adviser told them that steps have already taken by the ministry to address some issues while others would be implemented swiftly.
The students’ demands include- establishment of a dedicated higher education institution for ATI graduates, improvements in education quality, timely teacher recruitment, exam scheduling, job grade adjustments, intern allowances, foundation training, and enhanced access to higher studies.
Secretary to Agriculture Dr. Mohammad Emdad Ullah Mian and concerned officials were present.
