DHAKA, Aug 2, 2026 (BSS) - The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 79 people in separate anti-crime drives conducted by its Tejgaon Division over the past 24 hours.

According to a DMP press release, the arrestees were rounded up during routine operations in crime-prone areas under six police stations of the division. 

Among them, 19 were arrested in Mohammadpur, 17 in Adabor, 14 each in Tejgaon and Hatirjheel, 10 in Tejgaon Industrial Area, and five in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police station areas.

The arrested individuals were produced before the concerned court.
