DHAKA, Aug 03, 2026 (BSS) - The government has issued directives to district and metropolitan public prosecutors (PPs) to ensure the speedy disposal of cases filed by the families of the July martyrs and the injured July warriors, aiming to expedite the trial process.

The solicitor wing of the Law and Justice Division issued a notification on August 2, in this connection.

Signed by Senior Assistant Secretary Md Faruk Hossain, the notification said families of those martyred in the July Mass Uprising and injured July warriors have filed cases in different districts across the country. 

"To ensure the proper conduct and speedy disposal of these cases, all district public prosecutors and metropolitan public prosecutors have been instructed to take necessary steps for their effective prosecution," it added.
