DHAKA, Aug 18, 2026 (BSS) - Police have arrested 52 people in separate drives in Dhaka's Mirpurand Hazaribagh police station areas for their alleged involvement in various crimes.

According to a Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) press release, Mirpur Model Police arrested 40 people over the past 24 hours, while Hazaribagh Police arrested 12.

The detainees include accused in regular and warrant cases as well as people allegedly involved in various criminal activities.

The arrested individuals were sent to court.
