DHAKA, Aug 27, 2026 (BSS) - BNP Acting Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi today expressed deep

shock and grief over the death of the father of Israfil Alam, the joint organizing secretary of

Munshiganj's Srinagar Upazila BNP and general secretary of Biratara Union BNP.

In a condolence message, Rizvi said, "I express my deep condolences and sympathy to the bereaved

family members of Abdur Rahman Sheikh. He was well-known and respected by his neighbours as a

pious and virtuous person. I pray that the Almighty Rabbul Alamin grants him a place in Jannah

(Paradise) and gives the grieving family the strength to bear this loss."

The BNP Acting Secretary General prayed for the forgiveness of the departed soul of Abdur Rahman

Sheikh and extended his sympathies to the bereaved family members, relatives, well-wishers and

admirers.

Meanwhile, BNP National Executive Committee Volunteer Affairs Secretary Mir Sarfat Ali Sapu also

expressed deep shock and grief in a separate condolence message.

Abdur Rahman Sheikh passed away this morning at 7:15 am from complications related to old age. He

was 92.
