DHAKA, Nov 24, 2023 (BSS)- Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) confirmed their spot in the quarterfinals of the Walton-DRU Media Cricket tournament beating ATN News by five wickets in the round of sixteen knock out match held at Paltan ground adjoining the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city on Friday.

Batting first after winning the toss, ATN News posted a competitive total of 104 from their allotted six overs and in reply BSS easily reached the destination with five wickets in hand.

Maloy Kumar Dutta, who played a major role behind the victory of BSS, continued his prolific form scoring an unbeaten 26 runs and captured two wickets in the match.
 
He was, later, named the player of the match for his impressive all-round performance. It was his third man of the match award in a row in this tournament.

A record of 55 media houses in the history of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) are participating in the meet, organised by DRU.
