Sports rally organised to build 'Smart Bangladesh Smart Sports'

DHAKA, Dec 13, 2023 (BSS)- Keeping the slogan 'Smart Bangladesh Smart Sports'
ahead a sports rally was brought out today (Wednesday) from the Sheikh Russel
Roller Skating Complex adjacent to the Bangabandhu National Stadium.

Bangladesh District and Divisional Sports Organising Council, National Sports
Federation Forum and Bangladesh District and Divisional Football Association
jointly organised the rally marking the victory day with the aim of Sheikh
Hasina's vision to build Smart Sports in the future.

Bangladesh District and Divisional Football Association General Secretary
sports organiser and sports friendly Corporate Saif Powertech's Managing
Director (MD) Md. Tarafdar Ruhul Amin formally inaugurated the rally as the
chief guest.
 
The rally was brought out not only in the capital but also simultaneously
organised in all 64 districts across the country. It was a historic event in
the sports arena of Bangladesh.

The rally, which started from the Sheikh Russel Roller Skating Complex,
terminated after passing through GPO gate of Gulistan, National Press Club,
Old Paltan intersection, Bangabandhu National Stadium and Shaheed Captain M
Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium.
 
On this day, all the stars of sports, officials of various sports federations
and associations, many star players, current and former national sports
awardees gathered to make the sports rally more attractive.

After the rally, Tarafdar Md. Ruhul Amin said we want to maintain the
development of consistency of the country in the last 15 years and at the
same time the development of our sports arena. We want to spread this message
all over the country. The way we are moving forward, the way Bangladesh is
moving forward, the way the sports arena of Bangladesh is moving forward
under the present government, we want to take it ahead further.

He said we'll work together with the government to build a "Smart Bangladesh,
Smart sports".

"We would like to see Sheikh Hasina as the Prime Minister once again in order
to strengthen her hand in order to maintain the continuity of our development
because the unprecedented development that has been achieved in Bangladesh,
the progress that has been made in the sports arena-- we want to maintain
this continuity," the Saif Powertech's MD added.
