Workshop on professional boxing held 

DHAKA, Feb 27, 2024 (BSS) - A workshop titled "Professional Boxing World and Bangladesh" held at Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) auditorium today (Tuesday).
 
Bangladesh Sports Press Association (BSPA) organized the workshop to inform the pressmen about the prospect of professional boxing and its future in the country.
 
Mohammad Asaduzzaman, president of Bangladesh Professional Boxing Association (BPBA), presented the keynote at the workshop.
 
BSPA's general secretary Samon Hosssain gave a welcome speech at the workshop, presided by its president Rezwan-Uz-Zaman Rajib. 
 
BSPA's vice president Kazi Shohidul Alam and it's member Parag Arman were 
also present there.
 
Apart from members of BSPA, around sixty journalists from various national dailies, television channels and online news media participated in the workshop.
 
BPBA president Mohammad Asaduzzaman said that there are more than six hundred professional boxers in the country now and if they are given proper nursing, they will be able to earn a lot of money for their country as well as in the world.
 
In the last few years, the boxers of the country have got income opportunities by participating in several foreign professional events, he added. 
 
He informed that an initiative has already been taken to bring the legendary boxer Mike Tyson to the country later this year.
 
Asaduzzaman hoped that the boxers of Bangladesh will be the top in terms of income if they got government and media support.
