Turaag Active Dhaka 25K running event held

DHAKA, March 8, 2024 (BSS)- The inaugural Turaag Active Dhaka 25K 2024, a prestigious running event, was held today (Friday).

Imran Hasan became champion in the 25Km categories in the inaugural Turaag Active Dhaka 25K 2024 organized by Run Bangladesh.
 
The international certified run competition began at 5AM at Hatirjheel in Dhaka. A total of 2000 runners from 15 countries participated in the 25K, 10.3K, and 3K categories.

While Imran lifted the 25KM title, Ashraful Alam and Arman Numusin became 1st and 2nd runner-up respectively.

In Female 25KM category, Shawlin Sigma became champion while Sarwat Parveen and Eri Lee Koike secured the next two spots respectively.

Golam Rahat became champion in 10.3KM category while in female 10.3KM category, Samia ruled the rooster.

In kids 3KM category, Yash Rooman became champion while Zarif Taj and Al Farazi Haque became 1st and 2nd runner-up respectively.
 
In female 3KM kids category, Rawasiya Rooman became champion while Amara Maheen and Ariya Nur Binte secured the next two spots respectively.

Through this event, historic sites in Dhaka are preserved, awareness is raised for the citizens' healthy lifestyle, and efforts are made to strengthen the emotional bonds among participants of the running community.

The Dhaka 25K Run event has received the AIMS membership, which certifies and approves marathon events worldwide.

Saznan Mohammad, co-founder and managing director of Run Bangladesh, said, "The Turag Active Dhaka 25K Run 2024 is not just a running event; it's an effort to showcase Dhaka's rich cultural heritage. We are thrilled to showcase the beauty of our city to a global audience by encouraging people to lead healthier and more active lifestyles."
The international run competition concluded with a closing ceremony at 8:30 in the morning.
