DHAKA, March 25, 2024 (BSS)- Birshreshtha Sepoy Mostafa Kamal kabaddi team in men’s section and Begum Rokeya kabaddi team in women’s section emerged champions in the Independence Day Kabadddi competition held at national kabaddi stadium in the city on Monday.

In the men’s section final, Birshreshtha Sepoy Mostafa Kamal team beat Birshreshtha Sepoy Noor Mohammad kabaddi team by 40-33 points with two creditable lona while Begum Rokeya team defeated Shaheed Janoni Jahanara Imam kabaddi team by 36-32 points with one creditable lona in the women’s section final.

Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation (BKF) president and Inspector General of Police Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun handed over the prizes after the day’s finals.

BKF general secretary and DMP commissioner Habibur Rahman was also present in the prize distribution ceremony, presided over by BKF member and tournament committee’s chairman Nizamuddin Chowdhury Parvez.
