DHAKA, Apr 5, 2024 (BSS)- Saint Vincent forward Cornelius Stewart scored a goal at the dying moment to rescue Abahani Limited from a certain defeat as Agahani Limited Dhaka were forced to play a 1-1 goal draw by Fortis Football Club in the Bangladesh Premier League football held at Sheikh Fazlul Haque Mani Stadium in Gopalganj on Friday. 
 
In the day's match, Ukrainian forward Valeriy Gryshyn scored for Forts while Stewart netted for Abahani Limited.

The match was locked goalless at the breather.

After the barren first half, Valeriy finally broke the deadlock scoring the first goal for Fortis in the 61st minute while Stewart leveled the margin for Abahani Limited in the 90+6th minute of the match.

With day's outcome, Abahani Limited secured 19 points from 11 matches while Fortis FC collected 13 points playing the same number of matches.
Earlier, in the first phase, Abahani suffered a solitary goal defeat in the hand Fortis held at Rajshahi district stadium in Rajshahi.
