DHAKA, June 28, 2024 (BSS)- FIDE Master Manon Reja Neer of Bangladesh Navy
maintained his solo lead in the points table with five points after the sixth
round of SAIF POWERTEC 48th Chess Championship held at Bangladesh chess
federation hall room on Friday.

GM Ziaur Rahman, GM Niaz Murshed and International Master Mohammad Fahad
Rahman of Bangladesh Ansar shared the second place with four points.

Three players shared the position with 3.5 points. They are reigning champion
Grandmaster Enamul Hossain Razib & FM Tahsin Tajwar Zia of Bangladesh Ansara
and IM Abu Sufian Shakil of Bangladesh Biman.

In the day's sixth round matches, FM Manon Reja Neer won against Anata
Choudhury of Palli Sanchoy Bank, IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman defeated FM Deberaj
Chatterjee of Barisal, GM Ziaur Rahman split point with FM Tahsin Tajwar Zia,
GM Niaz Murshed split point with IM Md Minhaz Uddin of Bangladesh Navy, GM
Enamul Hossain Razib split point with FM Khandaker Aminul Islam of Bangladesh
Navy, IM Abu Sufian Shakil split point with FM Nayem Haque of Bangladesh
Biman and FM Sheikh Nasir Ahmed of Bangladesh Navy defeated Amit Bikram Roy
of Rajbari district.
